The flexible natural stone Piedraflex ™ constitutes the technological revolution of stone. It is a natural stone coating (quartzite or slate) in thin sheets on a fiberglass support for opaque finishes and transparent resin, for translucent finishes, presenting the same color and texture variations as conventional stone formats.
In addition to the obvious sustainability in its extraction process, which minimizes the environment, it is a visually robust, resistant and timeless material, thanks to natural stone, to which is added the lightness and flexibility that fiberglass gives to it.
This fusion makes it an ideal material for both new construction and renovations, since it does not generate waste or overweight structures; adheres to any type of material and adapts to curved surfaces; resists ultraviolet rays and adverse weather conditions. In addition, it is easy to store, transport and assemble, which translates into greater speed and economy in labor and shipping.
The translucent finishes allow the passage of natural light and backlighting, resulting in an avant-garde and modern effect, achieving mirror finishes, ideal for decoration, with a result similar to that of onyx.
Thanks to its thin layer of stone and polyester resin, the sheets can be adapted to any place you want to panel, rehabilitate or decorate, in a way it is like wallpapering with natural stone.
The cutting of the Piedraflex sheets is very simple, you can even cut with metal scissors for small adjustments.
Piedraflex can be adhered to surfaces using contact glues, for single-component interior and for two-component exterior. The application of the glue will be only on the resin/polyester side of the sheets.
The recommended tool for extending the glue is a 3 mm toothed plain for better application results.
